COURSE OVERVIEW

 

This fast paced session is designed to help managers and staff members identify the key components of clinical and business success across a broad spectrum of practice settings.   Methods of identifying current level of performance in key success areas will be presented along with strategies for ongoing assessment and improvement.

 OBJECTIVES

 

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

 

  • Identify the key components that drive clinical and business success for therapy practice
  • Discuss methods of measuring current performance of their practice in the areas of success
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the steps required to plan for improvement
  • Discuss strategies for ongoing assessment of performance in the key success areas
  • Understand what is required to develop strategies for improvement in key elements of success

 

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

 

This program is recommended for all staff and managers in the rehabilitation environment.  It is appropriate for all levels of therapy administrators, mangers, and leaders and staff.  Therapists or administrators in all settings including, hospitals, private practices, long term care, home health, alternate site providers, consultants who are developing strategies to incorporate tools that promote physical therapy in their solutions to compliance, documentation, billing, marketing and staff development and recruiting challenges.

 

SPEAKER

 

Angela M. Phillips, PT is owner of Images, an educational and consulting service for rehab professionals.  She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Allied Health Professions and has over 25 years experience as a therapist, manager, administrator and educator including extensive experience as a speaker on quality improvement, customer service, documentation requirements, clinical application for physical agents, preparation for JCAHO and management issues.  Her lecture style combines current research and educational information with examples of realistic and practical clinical applications. Ms. Phillips is author of “The Desktop Consultant: The Rehab Department’s Guide to JCAHO” and has written a number of articles for The Resource, the official publication of the SOA.
